Privacy policy

Draft for review. This describes how Psville actually works, but it is a template: fill in the bracketed details and have a lawyer check it before launch. Version 2026-10-26-draft.

Who we are

Psville is run by [COMPANY NAME], [COMPANY ADDRESS]. If you have a question about your privacy, email [CONTACT EMAIL].

Your files stay on your device

Every tool on Psville works inside your web browser. The PDFs and images you open are processed on your own device and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. We cannot see, keep or share them. When you close the page, they're gone.

The AI tools (such as Remove background and Blur faces) also run entirely on your device. Their AI models are stored on this website and load into your browser; your photos are never sent anywhere.

What we collect

How we use it

We do not sell your email address or account details. You can read how Google uses information from sites that show its ads at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.

How long we keep it

We keep account details until you delete your account or ask us to, and remove them within 30 days of that request. Hosting logs are kept for [LOG RETENTION PERIOD].

Cookies and ads

We use browser storage for your own settings (always on, and only on your device). Advertising cookies come from Google and its partners. Where the law requires consent, you'll see a choice before any advertising cookies are used, and you can change it at any time through the privacy settings link shown by that message or by clearing this site's cookies.

If you're in the United Kingdom

We handle your data under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. [COMPANY NAME] is the controller.

  • Why we're allowed to use it: your consent for advertising cookies and marketing emails; our contract with you to run your account; and our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure and counting tool usage.
  • Your rights: you can ask for a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, limit or object to how we use it, and take it elsewhere. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Complaints: contact us first at [CONTACT EMAIL]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
  • Transfers: some of our providers, including Google, may handle data outside the UK. When they do, we rely on safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

If you're in the EU, EEA or Switzerland

We handle your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and, for Switzerland, the Federal Act on Data Protection. [COMPANY NAME] is the controller. [EU REPRESENTATIVE, IF REQUIRED]

  • Why we're allowed to use it: your consent for advertising cookies and marketing emails (Article 6(1)(a)); our contract with you for your account (Article 6(1)(b)); and our legitimate interests in security and counting tool usage (Article 6(1)(f)).
  • Your rights: access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability, and withdrawing consent at any time without affecting earlier use.
  • Complaints: contact us first at [CONTACT EMAIL]. You can also complain to the data protection authority in the country where you live or work.
  • Transfers: where data goes outside the EEA or Switzerland, we rely on adequacy decisions or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

If you're in the United States

This section explains your rights under US state privacy laws, including California's (CCPA as amended by the CPRA) and those of other states with similar laws.

  • What we collect: identifiers (email address if you make an account; IP address and cookie IDs through advertising), internet activity on this site, and approximate location from your IP address. We don't collect sensitive personal information.
  • "Selling" and "sharing": we don't sell your account details. Ad cookies from Google and its partners may count as "selling" or "sharing" for targeted advertising under some state laws. You can opt out with the Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information link shown on the site, and we treat a Global Privacy Control signal from your browser as an opt-out.
  • Your rights: to know what we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it, to delete it, and to opt out of targeted advertising, without being treated differently for using these rights.
  • How to ask: email [CONTACT EMAIL]. We'll confirm your request and reply within 45 days. An authorised agent can ask for you with your written permission.

If you're elsewhere

You can ask us at any time for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailing [CONTACT EMAIL]. We'll also follow any additional rights the law in your country gives you.

Children

Psville isn't meant for children under 13. Accounts require you to be at least 13, or older where your country sets a higher age for agreeing to data use (for example 16 in some EU countries). If you think a child has made an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the version above and, for significant changes, tell account holders by email.
