X (Twitter) posts: 280. Google meta descriptions: about 155. SMS: 160.
How is reading time worked out?
At about 238 words a minute, a typical silent reading speed for adults. Speaking time uses 150 words a minute.
Does it count spaces?
Both: Characters includes spaces, and Without spaces doesn't.
Is my text saved or sent anywhere?
No. Counting happens in your browser, and your text stays on your device.
