How to make an invoice

  1. Add your business details. Your name, address and logo. Save them once and every new invoice starts with them.
  2. Add your client and items. Type each product or service with its quantity and price. Tax, discounts and totals are worked out for you.
  3. Choose a design. Pick Modern, Classic or Minimal and a colour that matches your brand.
  4. Download or save. Download a PDF to email or print. With a free account, it's saved so you can edit it, copy it or mark it paid later.

Questions people ask

What's the difference between a quote and an estimate?

A quote is usually a fixed price; an estimate is a best guess that may change. Both can be made here; rename it in the notes if you like.

How long should a quote be valid?

30 days is common. Set it with Valid until.

Can I turn a quote into an invoice?

Yes. Switch the type to Invoice at the top; your client and items stay the same.

Is the invoice generator free?

Yes. You can make and download as many invoices as you like, with no watermark.

Do I need an account?

No. Without one, your work is kept in this browser. A free account saves your invoices, business details, clients and templates so you can use them on any device.

Can I add VAT or GST?

Yes. Set a tax rate on each item. If your prices already include tax, tick the box and we'll work it out backwards.
